that looks great, the free hand is awesome

Thank you! :)

Started a new project meanwhile, to have fun with fleshtones and OSL since I've been on armours for way too much :(

Looks awesome Kuma. I've always had a soft spot for that model and it looks like you're doing a good job on it

Thank you Fox! I still need to learn how to do better pics though, maybe a good lamp would help me on that since I'm working with a little small one hanging from a big old one ahah

Hey there!
Finished the Ogre:

and retouched an old little model I had because I liked the metals on it and added a bit of work on the base

All done yesterday night and this morning because I had to send it to an Italian model competition friends insisted to go.
Hope you like it :D
Feedback is always welcome

That ogre is stunning mate. Really top notch OSL

Thanks Fox, you are way too kind as always

So after a long time I just got back at a project I started at my old house. An Italian Knight during Battle of Benevento, 1266. The dude I'm painting was part of a larger project and I got to paint Pietro Caputo, if I remember right, some captain of Charles of Anjou army, thats why this colour scheme. Kinda boring in that sense, considering though it's my first ever historic figurine it's a nice first piece!

The freehand on the waistcoat and shield are awesome. I also love the cream color on the shield and helmet. The lack of sculpting detail on the chainmail is letting you down, but you have made the best of it with your painting. I feel the leather seems about half done. The scratches in it seem too uniform in distribution and color. Maybe some beiges on the creases where the finish would be naturally worn off. I also feel that the red of the cloak needs more depth in the darkest recesses of the shadows. Maybe glaze some dark green into the deep shadows of the folds....on the other hand it looks a lot better than anything I have done in awhile
! :)

Thank you for your feedback :)
The whole model is half done actually, not only the leather, I still need to do some washes of some colours. Sadly historic is not perfectly fit for a more artistic style, so I kinda have to stop my inner voices that tell me to add more contrast and more vivid colours ahahah
Anyway I'm working on the leather still, I plan to add way more little scratches here and there, heavy ones and little ones, to have fun :)
About the coat, I would have loved to paint it completly differently but thats how sometime life goes... little happy accidents!
I'll keep you updated with the changings !

Hello there, long time not posting !
I found some time along the way to paint something I found on my box of shame, so here it is:

I call it done because I have no time to work anymore on it ahahah
Any criticism is very welcome

So here I am, lets try to upload pics directly from mobile first and see how it goes! I’ll start from a couple of projects done recently and digging in the obscene amount of photos I have in my mobile for the others!

I can’t seem to upload more than 1 photo at time... I wonder if it will upload them at a human size at least?

edit: ok it seems images are way too big and rotated, I guess I'll be back uploading them with Imgur .-.

Try downloading Image Size if you’re on iOS, or a similar app on Android. Works well for scaling down pics to sensible sizes.

Death Guard marine looks awesome by the way. I’m a big fan of beige armour for these guys
