I've also decided that I'm going to paint like a pro instead of ambling along doing nothing, maybe painting 1 mini a year using exactly the same techniques I learned from the McVey painting guide in the mid-nineties. I'm going to paint a few minis using the heavy metal guides on the GW site (and the Sanguinor one from WD, managed to find the issue in a local hobby shop). Then I'm going to try a few more step-by-step guides, try to learn some stuff there. Then I'll go back to what I was doing a few years ago (buying minis I like the look of then painting them up in any random scheme that comes to mind), but I'll put more time into it now, and more importantly I'll try some new techniques that I've been too lazy and cowardly to attempt in the past. I've even bought a new desk. Sorry for the hijack.
