Hellbeard's Sculpt-O-Rama

Heheh! You're totally right. His helmet is HUGE. It wasn't on purpose. I think the other two have helmets which are slightly undersized so the ideal is probably in between the two.
Thanks for the nice compliment. If you need tips on how to use Green Stuff you can just ask and I'll refer you to the intel. It's not a big secret but it takes a lot of patience, perseverance, forethought and experience.

Thanky you very much, but I think I stick to using Milliput thats something I can work with, and even if my sculpting talents are not that good I know how to use sandpaper, files and a good old knife on it to achieve what I want :)

:) That's cool.

I added tabs to everyone via a special styrene mold. They fit very nicely in a regular you know who base which I'm guessing out of my ass is what's standard for everyone.

They're all done, except they're not done because for casting they'll have to be cut up and finished up. Since I haven't formed my mind yet as to how or what to do in terms of that they're just going to chill out in my display cabinet.

I'm now planning or preparing to plan the next batch. I already have a nice design concept for a super-heavy unit which I intend to make out of styrene and paint; it'll be a prototype of sorts and something for show. I also intend to make one or two exo-suit support units. So that's the plan moving forward.

Here is my experiment with PC putty, I'm remaking the Gnome warpunk necromancer in 1:56. I think the boot came out pretty sweet but his thigh is, unsurprisingly, a bit thin. We'll see how it goes.
Also cut out a styrene profile of an x-95 in 1:100. I created an impression in Super Sculpey, baked that and presently putty is curing in it.

Here's an update.
Recap: I'm working on a 1:56 Gnome Necromancer in the warpunk theme. Warpunk is a mash-up between traditional fantasy and mid 20th century military theme. I'm trying my hand with the unfamiliar epoxy putty unfortunately named "ProCreate". Having a blast.

One critique the boots and head on the smaller scale look the same as the larger. Coming on nicely !

Thank you! Yeah, I've still got some way to go with the boot work. The head is larger on purpose to give him more Gnomish appearance.

Here's an update. Nearly there.

Completed the warpunk gnome necromancer.

A fluffy description:

Demigods, immortal kings and extra-dimensional entities lead their forces against one another in a brutal war. The recent magic-industrial revolution sees a new scale of fighting: a war that spans the sphere with multitudes fighting and countless dead.

On the battlefields of this strange realm wizards are among the elite; the necromancers are never in short supply of ammunition. Wights flow out of deep and forgotten tombs deep beneath the ground. Skeletons burst out of the earth at the feet of the enemy. The slain, gruesome, rise again and strike their former allies. Ghoulish screams and deranged chatter follow this Mage. As the dead tear the flesh of foes, the fighting Gnomes and their allies cheer with fierce rage.

Here's an update from my sculpting.
I started 3 1:56 sculpts - a planetFaller commander, a Warpunk orc swordsman and a planetFaller hard suit "duckling".

I'll keep working with the PC putty for the time being. The duckling I'll make mostly out of Super Sculpey Firm, I think, because it has got a large volume.

Not sure how the planetFaller commander differentiates from the other ones except his pose. Maybe some communication looking gear or a deck or something.

The orc's design is having a prominent brow, recessed chin, enlarged jaw and mouth muscles and pointed bat like ears; he will also have long hair. I think some orcs can have facial hair as well. They can be painted green, though, later on, I suppose.

The duckling is basically a big armored box with feet to locomote (via haptic controls). He'll have a main gun, a machine gun and a big shield thing that can be moved around for additional protection. There'll be some other bits and pieces. You can see them later.

The left armature is the Hard Suit.

Check out this box I'm making. It's not miniature related but it might have some sculpting associated with it.

Sorry for the long delay. I was out of commission with a viral sickness of some sort.
Added flak jacket, hair, ears, pocketses. I think I might re-do the side lace thing because it's not so great.

The design of the Orc's appearance is more humanized or mellower than what you usually meet. I just like to tell a different aspect, I suppose. Orcs were originally made (according to Tolkien lore) in the image of Elves. I wanted maybe to show that a little also.

The Orc looks cool. I love orcs as characters instead of monsters. Reminds me of Shadow Run. I like the boots and fatigues and the bulk of the flak jacket!

Wow, i have not checked in for awhile. That gnome necromancer is wonderful.

Thank you very much! I like him a lot too. I think I'll name him Arbelt.

Thank you too. I love Shadowrun and have a totally sweet 2nd ed. rulebook in my collection. Thanks for noticing the details on the bits.

impoving all the time ! To take your boots to the next level try rolling a thin roll of sculpting medium and pushing into the first eye and then work your way up. At the moment they look like a negative, hope this helps

Thank you. I might give it a try. I'm still seeking for my flow or technique with the PC putty. I have a lot of room for improvement with the boots also in terms of general shape and profile.

Almost finished, I'll just complete the shield and give him a tab. I've been working a little slowly lately as it’s been a period of adjustment of sorts for me. I’m working through a wide array of things. Hopefully I'll start picking up speed soon enough.
