It is amazing, I have a question though...It is probably just me but his head... so much like Lucius Malfoy... (probably I am watching harry potter too much...)

@ Dragonforge
Did you make that base for Chris with the routered wing? It is really nice. I have never seen that in a mini base.

My (Bryan Wride) entry was the Silver winner in the Lord of the Rings Single Miniature category - Gandalf at the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm.

I managed to take pictures of almost all of the winning entries and am in the process of editing and posting to my Photobucket account (I\'ve got a running GD Chicago thread over on the Relicnews Painting & Modeling forum.)

Anyhow, here\'s a picture of my Gandalf entry from the display case at the Golden Demons, and the link below is his page on CMoN here. He\'s been on CMoN for a while, but I didn\'t have any (good) ones of him standing on the bridge I made and I just recently posted revised pictures with a dark background:

This is the first time I\'ve attended a Golden Demon since I started painting (and took a 14 year break) - I think I\'m getting back into the swing of things and it blows my mind that I made first cut with all my entries, let alone won a Silver for one of my figures...

It really was a fine piece of work. I kept going back to look at it again. Well deserved!

For what it\'s worth, I\'ve got a thread together over on the Relicnews P&M forum where I\'m slowly but surely going through my photos and gathering pictures of the winners (and others I was able to get relatively clear pictures of.)

If anyone\'s interested:

Also, it looks like most of the Primarchs were on Dragon Forge wood display plinths that also helped unify the effort.

FYI, I also saw Jen Haley hanging out with Team North America, though she did not enter. Too busy with pro stuff, I guess.

The primarch models averaged 42mm toe to crown of head. (not counting backpacks, basing, etc.) We started actually comparing measurments about 3 or 4 days before GD and were pleased that we all came so close to each other.

The bases were by Wayne www.miniaturebases.com
he did an awesome job for us.

and yes Jen was there (in fact im at her place right now writing this!) While she didnt compete this time she certainly will return to GD in the future. In the meantime if you need a fix check her out at GenCon.
