Sorry a bit, unsure, you want people to send you their minis so that you can paint them for them. without them having any guarantee of getting them bakc except for your word. A bit of a shaky foundation for a commiion service.

I\'m going to have to step in here and say What Guarentees to the people have when sending items to you.
Without being nasty you haven\'t got a huge online presence or reputation.
People need to ensure that they are dealing with a reputable painter.
Unfortunately I know all to well that one persons reputation as a painter isn\'t always a good indication of their ability to manage workloads or their reliability.

Not to mention, your lack of good grammar and spelling makes you appear not very professional. To me, if a person can\'t take the time to pay attention to the details of their writing, how much attention to detail will they give their painting?
Sorry to nit-pick, I don\'t mean it personally, but presentation is everything and your posting style makes me think that you\'re sloppy.
(Sorry, poor spelling is a pet peeve of mine, especially with all the spell check programs everywhere, along with the ability to just take a second and proof-read your own posts before submitting.)

ok, but as an example- roger bunting (i think its him) has 600+ skaven (it says in \"how much lead have you got?\" and this is were i got the idea) so, he could send me 1 of his skaven, then i paint and send back, then he could put a reweiv on here and put his opinion wether its good or bad. i am also trying to get picks on here but that might wait for a bit.
also i cant do a legal comision service because im under 18, i never have enough money for more minis so here i would just have something i could do while im bored (and alot:yawn
i think iv got an okay standard and i know that im not that bad so this would up my standard and not so got to pay lots of money to gw.
if you dont want to do it then thats ok but i think that commision is always so expensive, i cant legaly do it so why dont i just do it for free:idea:

So what you are basically saying is: Send me free minis (that you might or might not care about) and I paint them up for you if you give some detail criticism.
Maybe you shouldn\'t have commission in the title? Make it sounds more like a professional deal then something for fun

ok, i wont do it if your all so botherd but i was just trying to paint some models without having to pay for them,
i thought itd go ok because sometimes gamers arnt that good at painting but want some nice minis. i mean i dont get wages so while i paint my model/s everyone seems to be saying how they have got room fulls of them
i get some money but not enough to pay for an army or anything, and if you still want to do it, theres no point cos im obviossly just gonna smash them about and not give them back.:flame:
so if no-one trusts anyone round here with 1 out of you many thousands of peices of plastic whats the point of being on this forum.
and averlon, im obviossly trying to have fun but just in a way were you dont pay and someone gets a benifit.

And therein lies one of the problems. How can people expect attention to detail on a miniature, if you don\'t apply it to something as simple as the language we use daily.
If French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish painters can take the time to be accurate in a different language then as a native English speaker you are embarrassing us and weakening your case to be a reliable quality painter.
Secondly as you\'ve admitted that you are under 18 therefore anyone posting you a mini to paint would have NO legal recourse should you fail to return the mini.
If you are that desparate to have mini\'s to paint, got to GW in The Arndale Centre and ask if you can paint \"In store\" to help the staff.
With the rapid approach of \"Apocalypse\" Paul Evans would probably do with some assistance.

sorry for the rant and sorry averlon but you dont seem to be giving me a chance, and dragons reach, ill try going into gw manchester but i think there not going to give me free minis to paint for them as
1. they have some very good painters, one of them got into the finals in the open competion in gd
2.i was once painting a mini there for gd and they gave me advice, it cant be good because i got nowere in the comp and it was young bloods (they got me in there all through the summer every other day for nothing)

Hey, why not start out with the mini exchange (ME) on here. Just be upfront with everyone abou not having a mini to send in return. That would be a start towards earning yourself some respect amongst your peers.

sorry einion but iv already been told by two people about how i spell wrong, iv also been told how it makes it all seem like its for fun (wich it is) and not proffesionall (wich it isnt) so i dont know why you feel the need to put that on. again, iv said in one my other posts thet im not doing it anymore,
and also when you say-you have to earn somethings, there not automatic- i think thats pretty pointless since im not earning anything, and im under 18 im not that bothered about my spellings (even though im obviossly should be). and also about the confidence thing, iv got a freind whos dilexic, if i was disslexic would be preety anoyed right now that people care more about my spelling than my offer to paint your models for free.

ok for a start - you wrote dyslexic differently each time. there are a number of free spell check you can add to browsers. i\'m crap at spelling and i use mine all the time so you have no excuse really. dyslexic or not.
also when einion said you have to earn some things, he didn\'t just mean money. he also meant that you have only made 51 posts so far and you ar by far a well known member of the forums. no one knows whether we can trust you...

I wasn\'t slagging you off. I was just trying to put down what you were after because I felt the discussion wasn\'t focused about that. And there is still some legal discussion here while you obviously only thought it would be fun to paint some minis that people send you. I just wanted to step up a voice for the lads at Manchester here...
I can say as an ex staffer that these guys have one of the best reputations as a hobby team in the company..Mr Evans is a total nut that takes an idea and then makes it five times madder and crazier and goes from there.. the rest of the team are of a high standard and it makes the whole thing just work..
To say you spent a whole summer for nothing is a bit harsh....you probably learned a hell of a lot but that doesn\'t mean not getting a trophy means that their advice is bad just that your standard isn\'t quite there yet....
The internet is crap for getting emotion across but what you\'ve said makes me feel that the time those guys spent with you was unappreciated and that\'s not right.....
