Little bit of smoothing done on the torso. Going to glaze some purple and blue in there next.

I kept coming to this version for inspiration!!! Well freakin done and I can insinuate it will get even more bangsrang when done!!!

You honour me BaM! I've not really done anything on him the last couple of days but I'm determined to make a start on the legs tomorrow. Once they're done I can have some fun painting the denim dungarees.

Decided I'm probably going to knock back the intensity on the purple on the sides of the head, and definitely redo the veins. Also trying to decide what colour to paint the carapace. Currently it's between light blue/turquoise and a bone colour.

Tourqoise def!!! Remover this themodel is never done until we decide it’s fine . That being said when I paint there is an initial plan . After tha it’s pictures and back and fourth excercise to fix what I don’t like in the pics which is everything usually. So don’t fret it’s all meant to be adjusted .im certain the finished product will kick royal rump!!!!

In an effort to try and compete with BaM’s ludicrous work rate, I got a quick wash on the flesh and based the clothing before heading in to work for the day. Got a whole weekend to focus on this guy now!

I’m leaning towards a compromise with the carapace. Bone colour but with some turquoise hues in the recesses. With the purple glazes that will be on the flesh there’s a chance this model could be quite dark, and I think light bone would work well. We’ll see how it goes

Getting there with the dungarees. Bit of an attempt to paint texture like denim, but definitely need more practice.

Cheers Hairster. He’s a good character model and he’s keeping me entertained.
Purple and red tones inked in on the skin. He’ll start looking a lot neater once I base the carapace.

I said it and I’ll say it again this thing this baddie is on its way to looking like a. Superstar man!!! I have a saying (I always look at my models at the beginning and think well that’s not what I wanted, ) but there has NEVER been a time whenitwas finished that I didn’t like it even more !!!this is the same buddy . This aberrant rocks. So many little Easter eggs. The reddened raw skin (I’ll be using that where the carapace has bested out frometc etc. Masterful!!!

BaM, what can I say? I learnt most of what I know about tone from you and Hairster.

Sadly it’s going to be a busy week at work, so I’m not expecting to get a lot of time (if any) on this guy until next weekend. So I’ll leave the you with these pics for a while.
