I haven't done anything 3D since a few years. I'd like to, but then again it pleases me too much to do something analogue after having spent 8 hours (per day, every day) in front of five 22" monitorsThinks man, I'll definitely keeo pushing forward! Ah I see, a lot of peeps with art backgrounds on here it seems. Are you doing any 3D-modeling nowadays?
at work. And no matter how satisfying, 3D work so incredibly time consuming...
Here's a gallery with some of my personal work. http://madmeph.cgsociety.org/
One thing for all of you budding Graphic Artists out there. Make your contracts 100% waterproof, as a client or customer never, ever knows what he wants until you're finished or the deadline is looming. Most of them are clueless about the fact that 'Can you change this little thing here, or make this do that' takes three weeks of careful work. Or that handing over source material a few days/weeks before the deadline is an OK thing to do. Specify clear dates for reception of source material, approval of concept, pre-production, production, live testing, final handover. Seal these with hefty penalty clauses if need be.
If you feel like a client is unsure about the quantity of content, make clear agreements in your contract for additional content, and its pricing.
Don't insist on these point like a nazi drill instructor but casually and clearly go over every point in the contract as it is the most normal thing in the world. And it is, be your own pimp in this biz, don't let others do it for you.
When you offer a finger, a client will take your arm by your armpit and stick his tongue in your ear.
[EDIT] Typo's schmypo's
