My first two custom made characters are Dr. Tenma (From the anime Monster) and Silent Bob. I used mostly abilities from the rule book and gave them each one custom ability in red level. I have yet to play with them as my group is still enjoying the characters we have tremendously.

Not sure how I feel about having Medic from the very start from a balance perspective considering how life saving it is... especially since he gets a far weaker healing ability at the red level. I'd suggest maybe switching around Medic and Resourceful Surgeon.

That is a good idea. I have to say I did it in that order though thinking of the progression of his character in the show he is from.

There was a gunsmith miniature that I found with Il Duce's likeness, which others had stated on another forum that the person who made it is a big fan...

I ordered it right away, but can't seem to find any to match Patrick and Reed... Any suggestions?...

Here's my latest survivor...

Her favorite food is Chee-ken,
With fighting skills that make her worthy of Being Supreme,
Her full name is nearly 20 syllables long,
but she goes by Milly-Lou Houston for short...
"...Multi-pass... Tank-oo!"

Wanted to give a report out. Yesterday we had a member play using the Hank Survivor found here.

That character is a grade A Bad dude. Just like his video game counter part....AND like his video game counter part any one that teamed with him ended up dead. yet Hank made it tot he end of the scenario to gloriously sacrifice himself for the final living Survivor to get the objective.....sadly that Survivor was later devoured before the final objective was taken.

Good character!

Shaun of the dead

Can I get some help designing a shaun of the dead character.

Found the following

Mini is from hasslefree minis.

I'm thinking a skill like ninja or slippery to represent the scene when he pretends to be a zombie.

Any other themed skills we could give him?

Lock it down? When he seeks refuge in the pub?

Could you talented photoshop guys please help?

Thanks

Good character!

NICE! That is so awesome to hear he plays well! I'm definitely looking forward to using him when I get the game myself.:victory:

You should have someone try out Shiv next to see how he works out. Maybe Dan and Jeff as well!;)

I'll be dropping two more custom characters soon, just waiting on my friend to finish the photoshopping of the character cards.

These are all great! Are you printing them out for play onto cardstock or something?
I've only played a couple of tutorial games - but my friends are already pretty stoked about getting back together and continuing. Even the ones who don't "get" or like games. Fun stuffs.

I print mine on sticker paper then stick em on some thick card. easy enough. ;)

In a moment of geekiness we aren't printing them out. Most of us have iPads and we found that the cards people make fit to the right size of an iPad screen which is about the same size as the physical card. We have just been doing that. Works great. No fuss. No muss.

I used the heaviest glossy paper they had at Office Depot, which is slightly heavier than heavy cardstock... It's worked out great... Took a pic next to Ned's actual card, for comparison... I still need to trim them...

Those look awesome! The iPad idea is a great one, too! I am probably getting ahead of myself... need to play a bit more through the initial scenarios before I get new suvivors! I am really looking forward to seeing the community scenarios, too.

Hey everyone! I've been playing for a few days and really wanted to get a new female character out. Take a look and let me know what you think? (I don't want her to be over powered or under powered.) I've only just started painting minis (today, actually). If she comes out even halfway decent, I'll post her later. For now:

Character: Mom

Bio: If you need it, chances are Mom's got it in her purse. On her way to pick up takeout, the zombie hoard took Mom by surprise. She has word her kids are safe in a bunker somewhere. She'll get there eventually, but in the meantime she's kicking zombie butt. The contents of her purse are a little different these days, but chances are, she's still got what you need.

Blue: Mom's Purse

This item comes with three OTHER items (chosen at random from the deck before play -- remove Ahhh! cards before selection), face down in Mom's possession. Once each turn, until the down-facing items are gone, Mom can use a single action to withdraw an item from her purse AND (if she chooses) give it to another character on the same zone. When the purse is empty, it's still melee ready.

Yellow: +1 action

Orange: Loud (make lots of noise) OR Lockdown (lock a door)

Red: Medic (heal), Hold your nose (search in zone where zombie is killed), OR +1 die in combat

Thoughts? :)

wow. I like the Mom Survivor. Very cool.

The Martial Artist Survivor is pretty great as well. I think with Chaz they missed it by not giving him some skill that lets him kill zombies with his fists. His roundhouse kick could have taken out Fatties and gone on to take out Abominations. Ah well.....

And, hot off the presses...

View attachment 15552

Character: Nym

Bio: A kid she might be, but she's killed a fat boy or two in her day. Nym watched a fatty take her dad's head off and as far as she knows, her zombie mom is still on the prowl. But there's no time for tears. Nym's got siblings to find and zombies to slaughter. And if she happens across a lemon cake along the way? All the better.

Blue: Slippery (Slippery as an eel.)

Yellow: +1 action

Orange: Ninja (Quiet as a shadow.) OR +1 Die: Melee (Fear cuts deeper than swords.)

Red: Valar Morghulis* OR +1 zone per move (Quick as a snake.) OR +1 combat action (Fear cuts deeper than swords.)

*Valar Morghulis: For one full turn, Nym can "wear the face" of any inactive (unplayed or dead) survivor. During the turn, she plays AS the selected character, using that character's powers (1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 red of her choice). She does NOT retain her own powers during play. For example, unless the selected character is slippery, she is not. At the end of the turn, she returns to Nym's form.
