So, question, with no gauge to how powerful a skill is, how do you guys decide if a character is too powerful or not? or is that ever even a consern? For instance I made myself in the game and my starting ability is reaper:melee. Is that too strong i wonder? what do you guys think? is balance a concern when creating a character? or since skills never say one is meant for blue or orange than it doesn't really matter?

Hi!

Originally I used to do them randomly, then I learnt the rules. When you cross check against the offical cards this seems to fit well...

The character dashboards always have +1 action as the yellow skill.

The Zombivor dashboards, +1 action is replaced with a +1 specific action (move, combat, search, etc.).

On both orange and red, one of the survivor skills is dropped and is replaced with a different skill.

If you look across all the proper cards, they have a huge mix of what is where - but for me - it's all about what feels right with the character.

Speaking of them, here's another...

Yeah I kinda figured out the flow of the skills. thanks though. So are there any powers that one would consider too powerful to start with? or power combinations that would be deemed game breaking? Also where did you get those zombivore cards? I've been looking for those.

From playing a lot with custom cards, the only one I have ever found broke the game was Starts with a Chainsaw, although the official ones also do that. It might have been a case of too many lucky rolls, but when we play we only allow that character on what we consider hard / very hard maps.

The Zombi card is available on a PSD file from BoardGameGeeks. It does not have the blood that is added by myself. I wanted to use the original character pictures but bloody the card up so it stands out.

It also fixes not needing zombie versions of the same graphics.

Starting with Bloodlust?

Hey, I'm definitely really interested in creating a type of battle-rager type of melee character, similar to the wolverine one is some ways. Basically I really want to start with Blue: Bloodlust -Melee; Yellow: 1+ action; orange: Blitz, some melee bonus (i.e. +1 to roll), red - Reaper: melee, +1 damage melee, and something else. Have you tried a character starting with Bloodlust? If so, did it seem overpowered?

I had also given some thought to NOT using +1 action for Yellow, which would open up that slot for blitz or to improve melee combat. Therefore, this character would heavily rely on their movement skills (bloodlust & blitz) as an alternative way of moving around. Thoughts?

My group playtested a few characters without the +1 action. We found that it hurt the characters overall. That +1 action is just soo much more useful in situations you don't really think about it, especially in the early game, and moving away from zombie occupied squares.

Move, Move, Open Door, Move Vs. Move, Move, Open Door
Move, Move, Search, ARGHHHGGH !!! Vs. Move, Move, Search, ARGHHHGGH !!!, Killit with an Axe

These model will be my own custom characters, which these are untitled squad (naming something like Zombie Reckoners, or Zeta Squad). I make use of these models from Infinity as modern type tactical unit to put on the Zombicide game to try out. I'm underway of choosing a suitable skills for them. By having these awesome models with right skills for them, it'll look they'll be unstoppable. Once I fully painted them, I'll find suitable program of setting up character sheet; it'll be just only for Season 1(currently owned) as a start.

heres my first go :p a quick note: in gta v michael has the ability to slow down time while shooting, i wanted his skill selection to reflect this so basically hes good at shooting and not much else :p

(also a hastily photoshopped card)
