Brushes: To Lick or not to Lick?

People like Hinton and Duende and the like, who puts up such a show of bravado and resistance... they just fear the power it! :twisted:

Because I hold the miniature with my other hand. I\'d have to put it down first to do that... Much quicker and easier to use your mouth. Plus you can load the brush with moist at the same time to vary the thickness of the paint, and by doing that with your mouth you get much better control over the amount of moist you store in the brush than you would if you dipped it in the rinse water and wiped it off against something.

I don\'t lick \'em with paint still in \'em. I only put brushes in my mouth to make a point after they\'ve been cleaned. I don\'t use my hand to make them into a point, because my hand is usually holding the mini, or whatever it\'s attached to. Just easier to use my mouth.

Some paints taste rather good, so I see no problem with licking the brushes when they have paint on them. It\'s a good way to get excess paint off the brush and also to dilute the paint a bit more than what you have done on the pallette.

Don\'t put any unnecessary junk in your paint, though, as it will ruin the taste! Flow improver is the worst! :|~

I hae never heard of anyone licking brushes with paint on them. That is just silly.
But I do lick brushes after I clean them in water. It helps keep the point on them.
