Eschelius the ardent

I really like this figure, he has a very cool dynamic pose. It's kind of like he's saying "Come on! I'll take you all!". I painted him up to practice my NMM. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Any comments are very appreciated!

why so much argument about this mini? I know how hard it is to paint nmm and I have studdy much nmm pic and I have to say that this is one of the finest I have seen! good work:)

I find it highly inapropriate to rate a great mini with a 6 just because you assume it doesn't look good in real life. Great nmm can look just as good as great metallics, both in real life and in a photo. It kinda upsets me when I see the strong opposition nmm sometimes has. As for me, I find both nmm and metallics to be great! I think they each have their own benefits and charms.

yes, it looks good from any ankles. what I said is that it starts look unrealistic when you rotate the miniature while looking at it. on true metalic surface, the lighter and darker areas changes acording to the position of light source. NMM of course stay the same, reflexes don't move. that looks unrealistic.
