Abel the ill-tempered

I'm really happy with how this piece turned out. I feel like I'm starting to get a hang of NMM, and I'm also pretty happy with the eyes. The figure was a lot of fun to paint, and I tried out some colours that I've rarely used before, like blue and yellow. Please let me know what you think!

Very nice, your blendings are starting to become smoother and smoother. The NMM works well on many places, but the the kneepads could for example use some more contrast. I really like the sword. The gold parts are nicely blended, and the NMM looks really great on the golden globe (:P) he has in his hand. The blue and yellows are a bit shiny and it ruins some of the impression. You could perhaps have choosen another colourscheme as the subtle metal work is in stark contrast to the bold yellow and blue. More earth colours would have IMO worked better. The face came out very nice as well. The base could use some more work though. 7.5

Yup. That's looking good. Needs one more level of highlight in the kneepads and a bigger bit of cork for him to stand on however.
