Drune Persecutor (multiple views)

This is my entry for the Groundforge Paintathon, fantasy category. I wanted the mini to have a non-human look so I went for a dark redish skin tone. I chose to define every visible muscle fibre to further the non-human look. For the steel I used a quite time-consuming highlighting technique where I apply each highlight layer with lots of parallel thin, semi-transparent lines. Thus, the finished look will be bright, but somewhat dull so that a weathered look is achieved. I wanted, especially the axe, to look much used, but still cared for. The base is quite simple. A cork plate, some sand, flock, static grass and a few fibres from a brush. The final touch is some scattered leaves from Hudson & Allen. Hope you like it. Comments are welcome! -Anders

Excellent work, the base looks very well matched to the mini. Nice effect.
