It's looking good so far, I'd say the main problem is that it's very dark. Using a lighter colour on some of the details, like the armour filigree and the straps and such on the horse would help a lot with that, I think, but you probably hadn't painted those parts at the stage of this photo. The green rider on brown horse is a nice colour combo.
