CMON3 Competition Christina
After having painted her I thought she deserved a 'back story'. I see her as having sighted her adversary and has 'Heeled' her steed around to shout : "There he is! At last we have brought him to book. Let this be the hour of his undoing and our glory!" I must admit that the figure was not a one that immediately inspired me. But after having got the horse painted, the figure suddenly started to 'pull together'. I have said before, I totally admire figure sculptors as I cannot sculpt! The amount of detail on the figure was indeed a pleasure to paint. I am just sorry that the quailty of the casting wasn't as good as the figure really deserved. Both the feet are a little small and the face is very difficult to allow acces to the eyes. She's painted in Vallejo, Foundry and a couple of touches of Citadel paints as well as a healthy dose of Winsor & Newtons Acrylic Artists paints. (Payne's Grey of course). I didn't see the need to do any freehand due to the amount of Filigree on the armour. Hope that you like her as much as I have come to.
