Sister Christina

Hi everybody, here is my version of Sister Christina. I had to retouch her feet and the back of the horse with some green stuff. Congratulations to Gael, this miniature is very well proportioned. I find this mini very dynamic . I don't know what you think about... but i particularly like the horse proportions :-) Bravo Gael !! I hope you'll enjoy her :-) !! Cheers CBA

Well, as I say before I comment on any of the Sister Christina minis, I truly do not like the sculpt. It's the cape mostly, the balance of the rider is thrown off and she looks like a man with his arse showing to me as well. Now on to the paintwork. I like the horse's skin here, really horsey. On the back leg, it almost looks like you can see the veins through the skin...nice effect. Nice hand painted basing as well. The rider, great job. Dark or iron NMM is a real pain to paint, trying to get it to look black not grey is maddening. Maybe you went a little too grey here, or a little less black, depending on what you were trying for. So hard to do, such a small space. The trappings all look great. I'm especially impressed by the freehand on the inside of the cloak, the lettering and the color choice. Cool. A freehand design on the back of the cloak would be most helpful in breaking up the strong brown effect of the back. All in all, a 7.5 and I round up, so 8 it is. Nice.
