RP Kunoichi

The Kunoichi were the female ninja. They weren't actually outright fighters like the male counterparts... but more devious in their tasks, using their feminine charms and what not to complete tasks. The pink and blue in this were chosen based on a Kimono my mom has. I didn't paint patterns on it, well, because a gi wouldn't have patterns. At most some patches... like over the right chest, which is covered in this mini. She's standing over some fallen rocks that have caught a couple dried up tree limbs. I thought about painting some design on the sash, but the texture on it kinda already gave something to highlight, so I descided to not mess with that. The sword isn't modeled very well... and it wasn't until I had started painting that I realized I should have filed it down so that it was appearant which edge was the actual cutting edge. I also couldn't straighten it out better, because I think it was starting to break/crack. :(

I like the color choices and the information you gave is very useful. In my opinion, the rocks on the base look good, but the small twigs are a little distracting in the photos. Also, the sword blade looks a little strange in the pictures but I am sure it looks better in person and in the real scale.

Heres a tip to fix this sword - I've used this mainly on 10mm spearmen, but on a blad this simple, it should work great. Get a piece of brass rod and hammer it so it squashes into a flat profile. File one edge flat and one edge sharp, you can also sharpen the end with the file. Dont cut the rod to length until after you have finished the sword. If you do it right, then you'll even have a little round "Tang" so you can drill a hole and insert it into the hilt.
