Daemonhunter Inquisitor & Servo Skulls

Models holding open books are a blessing and a curse. This trio of models was painted for a longtime client as part of a larger contract. Painting it was pretty straightforward, except for the book. I had to figure out what this Inquisitor would have bookmarked as a page of interest. The black ink is the original text and art, and the writing in red is his own added notes. Detailed notes on recognizing daemons and how to summon them would be information that could help a young Inquisitor fight Chaos, or start him on that long slippery slope towards becoming a Chaos worshipper himself. I saw this Inquisitor as man standing on the brink... full of good intentions, but not yet wise enough to know better. Feedback is always welcome :)

A very good paintjob you did here, it it´s good to see how some poeple think before painting; nice, rich colors, and the book is simply great; what I don´t like are the thick black rods under the servoskulls, they look horrible, I used thin rod whae doing those and it looked much better
