Brettonian Grail Knight Standard Bearer
This is a model I painted for a client and good friend of mine, which won the Best Fantasy trophy at the Vancouver Conflict at the beginning of 2005. For the banner, I had found a piece of art in an old Brettonian army book that I used as the basis for the freehand. I painted the same piece on BOTH sides of the banner, although I have to say that I liked the way the right side turned out much better. Afterwards, I added a few faint swirls and fleur de lys to the caparison and the knight's cloak in order to fancy him up a bit more, and I'm also happy with how the freehand on the coat of arms turned out as well.
