Eldar Firestorm Grav Tank

This is a model I painted for a client some time back. I was asked to reproduce a paintjob featured on the Forgeworld website, so I am in no way going to try and take credit for originality :) That being said, it took a bit of trial and error to get to this end result, which I'm pretty happy with. I even took it down to Seattle for the Conflict painting contest to get some feedback on it, and it was able to take the best overall award that year. This was one model that I had some difficulty packing up in a box and shipping out to the client, a bit like surrogate mother syndrome, eh?

Actually, I don't think it's too difficult, just insanely time consuming. In the time I painted the scales all over the tank, I probably could have painted 2 more tanks in a regular colour scheme. I actually came across a tutorial of one done in a similar style on Eldaronline (sp?) AFTER I painted mine. It's pretty good, anyone interested in spending 30-40hrs painting a grav tank should definately check it out ;)
