Kathiawari Stallion Red Dun

Yes, this is a model of a real horse. The Kathiawari breed, like their cousins the Marwari, are from those respective regions in India. Their eartips curl inward. In fact, if the horse is crossbred with another breed, the foal does not inherit the ears. Although close cousins and their regions are not far from each other, the Kathiawari breed does not have black as a color unlike the Marwari. This is an equine resin sculpted by Mel Miller of Chinook Studios. I "painted" him entirely in dry pigments except for the details...mane, tail, face and white markings which are acrylics.
