Since I have seen the use of NMM, I look at this old minis that I painted, and find that I don't like metallica paint. (Not that I have even tried to do NMM yet).
Cool standard/banner - I think that metallics can look great, but it seems like you might have had some bad luck with the undercoat or casting on this figure as it has a funny sand-like texture on parts of it.
