Rogue Trader -era Drop Pod
This is my first attempt at a RT-era drop pod. I got my inspiration from the classic Epic Drop Pod that looks like a diving bell. (Featured here: http://www.solegends.com/citcat911/c2122epicimptanks-h.htm in the bottom of the picture) I didn't want it over-decorated, as most of the RT-era vehicles are quite simple (look for my RT Land Raider, it's quite simplistic in style). The pod is painted in my own chapters colours. This was constructed from a styrofoam ball, bunch of blocks made with Hirst Arts blocks, random bits from the bitzbox (and the garage) and a PC cooling fan. As this is meant to go on the gaming table, I didn't bother making it absolutely flawless. And I wanted it ready quite fast, and not turn it into one of those projects that never finishes. Got plenty of those already... Next I'm going to build one with the doors open.
