CMON Contest Barbarian
Last day entry of the CMON Barbarian, I finished him last night and got the camera equipment out. I decided he'd make a good starting point for my Slaaneshi Chaos army so I painted him in fairly standard colours, with the turquise and purple. The bronze armour was a bit of a first for me, thought I'd try something a bit different. The skin was also a bit different to my usual method I basically just used Vermin Brown and added more and more white to it rather than go through various flesh paints as I usually do. Woads where added next I think they turned out well. The last bit to do was the sword, with such an overly large blade I figured it needed runes so I drew some on copying some old designs from the Slaanesh transfer sheet (never used the transfers just copy the designs) Then I shaded the blade on one side with armour wash, then realised the runes where too dark so painted over them and gave them higlights as if they where glowing from within. Also decided to paint the ornate crosspeice in purple to add a bit more colour to the model, adds a bit more character too. That's it really. Hope you all like him.
