Paper Magic!

This "paper Dreadnought" of yours is beautiful! It really looks amazing. You've started off with a big bang as far as I'm concerned. The only thing that would have made it better, for you, is if you had made it from Polystyrene Sheets instead of paper. It would be much stronger and less fragile. I love polystyrene. It makes so many projects much easier to do. I do however, understand that cost can be an issue, it is for me; most of my allowance goes to cassar (brown M&Ms are not cheap to find). Since this is your first, I understand your use of paper. You've done a fantastic job so far. I'm going to add this thread to my subscriptions because it's so awesome. If your interested here's a link to one of the many sites where you can get it cheaply. I hope some else knows of a cheaper place and shares it with us. I go through a huge amount of the stuff. http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=22883 You have a great deal of talent. I know these projects aren't as easy as they look and yours looks great. I'm eager to see how you complete it and how you paint it. Good luck and stay frosty.

Hi, thank you very much for your kind words :) I had not really thought of using anything other than paper, but I might actually buy some of that stuff, it looks really handy. As for the paper, I printed it off on thick paper/thin card, so its actually kinda strong, and I've been using heaps of super glue, which works soooo much better than PVA, and makes really strong joins. Thanks for the advice :D

Great work you've done here!
I also like the pictures!
They have a kind of "cartoonish" look.
Very nice!
