i haven't looked at the thread for a while so compared to the shite you first posted, it's a massive improvement!! much easier to comment on

Oh, this sure is some nice looking project, mate. It's coming along very well it seems.

Firstly I'll apologise for the frankly shocking quality of the illustration. But it gives a rough idea of an I idea I had while messing about with my Orrus/Captain. Imagine the picture on both sides of the carapace, with the scales overlapping each other.

While you've got that image in your head the scales should look roughly like these.

Any opinions?

What nobody has any thoughts on the scale idea? Would it help for a better picture of what I'm aiming at?

The scales would overlap each other on the carapace, and on the leg would be large enough to give the appearance of a "knee".

The extra plates on the marine, I'm going to scale up something similar to put on the dreadnought. On the lower leg and then up and over the outer pieces of the body to give it some scales, does that clarify things any? The drawing I did, wasn't brilliant but I thought it showed my idea.

it show up too big on my comp. it's hard to make head or tail of it.

sounds good though. bash something up. i think it will help them all look like a cohesive unit

Thanks, if you look in my Iron Dragon thread there are a few more pictures of him. I like the scale effect which is why I want to try and put it on my Dreadnought
