Update 2:

I\'m hanging in there... Chrismisterx has outbid me (the bastard :D), I hope he doesn\'t want it as much as I do

lol I don\'t think that will be necessary... he\'s perfectly wthin his rights to outbid me, but it was my fault for putting the eBay link here, so \"advertising\" it and letting other people get interestted. Chrismisterx (who recently painted a cool night goblin :D) obviously saw the link while he was on the forums. I\'ve removed all the links to eBay that I posted, but it\'s too late. Anyhow, I\'m winning the bid again. I\'ll just have to keep a close eye in the final minutes of the auction

Cheers

Remember, I have some rope, a razor, half a can of petrol and a cd with \"stuck in the middle with you\" on a continous loop.

Just if you need them of course...

Now now, revenge is not called for. It\'s all part of eBay, I\'ll have to look elsewhere if I lose. It\'s not the end of the world ;)

I\'m listening...? Shall I wait until the auction is finished before I tell you how much I\'m willing to pay? :bouncy:

Hey Penguin,

I am glad you like my version of the figure. I bought it back in 2003 and finally painted it for Gamesday Chicago 2004. As far as I know Games-Workshop discontinued the mini. I have seen him here and there in hobby stores so some copies still exist. I did some minor mods to the figure:

1. Threw away the cape and made my own. The cape fits the figure poorly at best and I wanted a better surface for doing some freehand.
2. I repositioned his left arm at his side and resculpted the shoulder pad. The \'natural\' fit for the arm is a firing position parallel to the ground. The original shoulder pad was sculpted as part of the arm. I thought he looked more majestic with the arm at his side.

He is still one of my favorite GW sculpts.

Wow Doug, thanks very much :wow: He certainly is an awesome figure, and your paintjob is fantastic  A well-deserved trophy (among many others!), and your nice Kislev Captain was what inspired to do my own, which I\'m entering in to Youngbloods this year :)

Thanks for being an inspiration! :D

Penguin,

Thanks for the kind words! It is good to hear that my work inspires other painters.

Your Kislev Castor is excellent. Nicely done. Here in the U.S. you would probably collect a Demon with that one!

Keep up the good work and best of luck in the competition.

18 mins to go...

And a new person has arrived on the scene. I\'m going to take Dragon Forge\'s advice. Wish me luck ;)

Well, I bid with 30 seconds to go, but having to sign in again slowed me down... and the bid timed out. Damn. :possessed: How does dragon forge manage with 10 seconds?? Anyway, I will have to do more fishing around. He seems to be fairly common, so hope is not lost. PLus, Ebon showed me another one on eBay...
