Hey everyone,

I just can\'t seem to chose a Space Marine chapter, so can you help me?

Please use the poll, and perhaps a reason why you chose it?

My vote goes for the Dark Angels. Not a WH40K player myself but there\'s a lot of nice DA stuff around at the moment and loads of reference material. I\'m guessing you\'d get more/better suggestions if you said what sort of things you prefer (types of army - shooty, close combat etc or even painting preferences)

Can\'t give you an answer without knowing what sort of playing style you want, what sort of units you like, what level of competitiveness you intend to play at and so on. More info please.

Space Wolves !!!!!!

I played a Wolf army for a couple of years and once I got the hang of them they were pretty darn good.They have some great capabilties and cheap terminators,the characters and leaders are awesome as are there scouts, (which have got to be the best in 40 k!):beer:

Even without knowing any of your preferences though Mouth of Sauron, I can say with 100% certainty, no Space Wolves!

They suck so hard it\'s criminal. Filthy, unwashed, deformed-teeth, a dubious affinity for wolves, boring (their armour is grey for god\'s sake, just like the Spitting Image John Major), just stay well clear of them.

Sorry Vincenti, but as I have a Dark Angels army I have to keep the age old rivalries going!

Ultramarines!! no matter what playing style you prefer the Ultras have the answer, plus they look beautiful on the table!!
Have 2000 points of them myself!

Space Wolves, they just look damn cool. And their Forge World terminator kit is fantastic. Il have to get round to buying that one day!

(even those fudge packing dark angelslol)

Blood Angels? I know thats true for Blood Ravens, but I\'m not sure about Blood Angels.

*edit* I guess I should answer the question, sorta. I\'m gonna say make sure its a colour scheme you can paint, and wont get sick of. That can be much more important than any other factor. The back story can be important too, having a fluffy army can really improve your desire to get it done, or convert or what not. Any play style can be done with marines... Take a look through the galleries and see what tickles your fancy. Don\'t forget the WIP has some good marine army logs going:

If it\'s mostly about the models, then pick the Chapter with the ones you like most. If you like ones from all sorts of Chapters then do your own, mix in different marines and file off any insignia that makes them chapter specific. Simple!

All this poll is going to tell you is the current most popular Marine Chapter for CMON members, that\'s not exactly a reason to choose it in my book. I mean who wants to follow the flock and do what everyone else does?

Oh, and a Chapter of your own creation, built using the main Space Marine Codex, is always going to have the edge over the others if you are acomplished at building effective army lists I\'d say. You can use traits to tailor it and make it stronger you see, wheras the chapters with specific Codexes or rules are limited by them. Each one, in some way, has had its effectiveness and versatility hampered in an attempt to make it fit the game fluff more.

I\'d pick some chapter that no one in your area plays.. look on the compiled lists on Wiki and pick an obscure one so that chatper is \"yours\".

DA, first chapter, best chapter. Really though, gotta agree with others here..... go with your gut and what looks the coolest to you. For me it was Dark Angels, so I voted for them. There\'s just something cool about their gothic, brooding imagery that I like. Plus, the Deathwing are just too damn cool!
