\'Sides, you\'ll find that I only put down people I think are being foolish or rude to me. Other than that, I\'m affable and approachable. Since my \'return\' I\'ve had two fanboys try to \'correct\' my work, one person get upset over my slang terminology, and two people try to slam my style because it doesn\'t fit the CMON norm. I\'m not here to win popularity contests. If you want to be a douche to me, I\'ll be sure to treat you appropriately. And for the old timers who do know me, they\'ll be the first to tell you I am funny, knowledgable, and will give my shirt off of my back if I know it will help you out. The point still stands. If you can\'t take a little heat in comments, you won\'t go far as a mini-painter. We can be a callous bunch.

ok first i am not a child. i am a college graduate with a wife and child, and have been teaching art for 6 years. secondly your \"joking\" attitude is what seemed to upset me at first. ainu made a comment and you stepped on toes. just because your an \"old\" cmoner doesnt mean that you have any right to be condescending to people. as for giving your shirt off your back be my guest, give it to someone else. just do me a favor and dont ever talk to me again. you talk about the mini painting world as if we all have to pay our dues. it sounds to me like a bunch of elitism. i learned something early in my life.... the \"elite\" person in any area is always the most condescending arrogant person i meet. its the comic book guy who laughs at a kid when he walks into the store for the first time and asks for pokemon cards and that person laughs at him. you sir, have basically done that to me and other people on this site. if you say practice thick skin, then you shouldnt have let the \"newb\" comments of me or others get to you in the first place.

I have no previous knowledge of you raginggaijin, so all I can go off is your post count as far as determining noobishness. In that respect I\'ll just put my feet up and yell NOOB at to you at the top of my voice!

Freak is correct. I spent too long in World of Warcraft, and have picked up a lot of the vernacular terminology.

And FWIW, I\'m a total n00b. I still learn new stuff in mini-painting, and enjoy the practice.

Tom Meir wrote on his blog something that I think is very pertinent to mini-painting as well as sculpting:

\"You aren’t going to get far if you are motivated by other people’s praise or enjoying thinking of yourself as something special because of what you do. Motives like these interfere with clear thinking and are silly in any case. You are the same person with the same value no matter what you do or what people say about you, other people’s opinions don’t change what you are.
