Just to be nosey, what is everyone else listening to? I cant paint properly without some happy hardcore beats in the background:flip:, but i bet you that my style of music makes you all sick, so what do you like???

Can\'t stomach happy hardcore, I\'m afraid... I want my hardcore beats dark, crushing and mean! :] But, I can\'t paint to the stuff. I prefer more atmospheric and meditative music when I paint... dark ambient, some industrial music (with no or very slow beats) or something like that.

usually when I paint or sculpt, (wich is VERY often) I turn on the readio and listen to a national or local radio station. it very nice mix of music and you hear alot of new music you have never heard before :)

Anyway, not that many know them, or give a shite, but here\'s a quick list:

What I was listening to when I started painting; these will always be closely linked to painting in my mind:
- Modest mouse, good news for people who love bad news.
- ClannZu, rua
- Explosions in the sky.

Lately a lot of:
- Jaga Jazzist
- Frank Zappa ( Always somewhere...)
- Dredg
- Mogwai

Not just music but also movies:
- Snatch -Deadman -Dogma
And audio books from george carling or RvB seasons in an infinite loop.

I find it almost impossible to paint for long periods without something in the background.

I am listening to a lot of emo lately, right now I am listening to Four Letter Lie. That band is awesome. I am going through a lot of shit right now with my wife who wants to leave me... so yeah, vein slicing emo is the word of the week... bummer.

As for my preferred acompaniment whilst painting or modeling, I\'m really rather enjoying silence at the moment. Used to need music going on to maintain focus, now it\'s pretty much the opposite.

As I\'ve just got back from a bunch of Saxons and Vikings kicking the crap out of each other at Tutbury and I\'m off to Warwick to see some roses doing the same tomorrow, I\'m listening to Schelmish and the Kingdom of Heaven and A Knights Tale soundtracks to get me in the mood lol

On the long trips to go to live rpg events, the driver always insists to have bardish, rpg inspired music or sountracks from such movies... on a 8hrs track it can get pretty dull :(
But sometimes we\'d all sing along tavern songs, that was fun...

:no::no: Its just usually on forums loads of people hate eminem for different reasons, druggie, sellout, abuse, how he treats kim, how he could raise 2 little girls, all, that stuff
