IRL = In Real Life (Like we have one)

\'SE\' NMM?

The NMM part I got, is Sky-Earth referring to the basic colors used to create the effect?

I\'ve had good results getting \'more realistic\' metal by starting with a dark metal like bolt gun for steels. Then highlight with light metals like silvers and even white on edges, sharpened areas, reflection lines on large areas, etc.

I\'ve washed with very thin black or brown or rust red to make aged metal on some areas.

The sky/earth nmm is reference there being a horizon on the metallics were the top half would reflect more sky colors and the bottom half more earthy tones.

Its basically painting using the horizon line and reflections. For instance, in the reflection below the horizon, a dark color (like brown) is used and blended in. If the reflection is above the horizon line, a lighter color is used.

Egads, that makes no sense...A picture is worth a thousand words....

I thought FUBAR was a single R, for F@cked, Up, Beyond, All, Recognision. I have been known to be wrong (and spell badly).

REMF, is an army saying used by infantry and \'front line\' troops. Rear Eschelon Mother....... finish it your self :innocent:

Sometimes known as a remfu.
