having been bought up in Lowestoft in England, where the W&N Factory was/is located, I know there was a very long apprenticeship there to learn to make the brushes. That\'s why they were so good.
However, due to modern economics, production is by all accounts transfering to China, with folks from Lowestoft going out there to train the local workforce.
I imagine that may have some bearing on the change in quality.
I still use W&N brushes, but only if I get to view them first
