Disagree about the Halo novels there. I've read the lot, and I'm not particularly impressed. Well-written fluff for me goes to the Gears of Wars novels. They're written with a very well-developed human element, although I've never played the games themselves.

I've just picked another one up in the bargain bin - Elven Legacy. Sort of a cross between a strategy game and a RPG. Looks promising.

Have to agree with MW2 on PS3, being the bomb. Although, it is probably the same on Xbox. I cant stop playing it, in fact I am going to play now.

For Xbox: Fallout 3, Bioshock, Prototype, Wolverine origins, Fable 2, Gears of war 1 and 2 though only GOW 2 has Horde-mode, which is rather entertaining, GTA4, Resident evil 5, Far cry 2 (actually nothing to do with first Far cry, which IMO is a good thing). And then there is this little game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_crashers <-- Quite addictive and stylished :D

Oblivion
Fallout 3
Uncharted 1 & 2

CODMW2 is way overrated, they need to address some MAJOR issues with the multiplayer (at least for PS3).
