There are numerous bits of GW I think are crumby, the examples above are a nice representation. That Squirrel-Wolf has at least done numerous small companies a favour though as they all rushed to release Wolf mounts suitable for 40K
I'll throw in a vote for the Minoballs though. A GW staffer whispered to me that they were due out soon & I made the mistake of looking forward to them. Made for a far bigger disapointment than If I'd just happened across them in WD.
I can't stand the giant Space Marine rip-offs that various studios churn out. Pressmoulded parts from various kits, cookie cutter detailing, laughable proportions & lazily finished. Scibor is the name that springs to mind but by no means is (was) he the only offender. This one...
http://coolminiornot.com/252247 is currently on 8.8 in the Gallery. There's bare wire sticking out of the potted plant on his back, numerous lazy pieces like the heart on the breastplate but the hands, dear Lord, the hands. A pathetic joke at the expense of the GW fanboy who badgers their parents into getting them this for their Birthday.
I'll finish with this piece...
http://www.coolminiornot.com/221425 ...which I think is horrific. Please do note that I am not taking the piss here! I genuinely voted this piece a 10. I cannot imagine a more shocking & sickening example of a Demonic Princess ever being submitted to the Gallery. Everything about it captures exactly the feelings of revulsion that a demon should induce. Those manky nipples, the feet rotting into the ground, the blackened eyes. Just fantastic. I can only say that I am hugely relieved that her right leg is raised so that we can't see between her legs, I suspect that may be a little to vomitous for any of us! A lot of people seem to be frustrated by the efforts of this CMONer but I think this particular entry shows a special kind of genius, of which I'm just a little jealous
I've no idea whether it's a production mini or scratchbuilt but it's definately UGLY!
The others springing to mind are all over 5 years old, so I'll leave it at that
Cheers, B.
