Nope. I thought they were trash. I watched about 10 minutes of the third one and couldn\'t finish it. The first was kind of groundbreaking, but as usual, they simply turned to crap (IMHO) very quickly.

i didn\'t see the second but the 3rd was crap. working in a hospital means that gore doesn\'t bother me and i love a bit o\' blood in my films!

My wife is the same way. She use to insist onwatchin stuff like that, but she finally gave up. I think it was Signs (M. Night Shyamalan) that did it.

Yeah, that one almost made me give up movies in general... :D

Signs was monumental compared to the crap that was THE LADY IN THE WATER...

I don\'t know about SAW, but I\'ve got to watch a whole half of hostel ( before I simply left the room) and it came to me as simply unpleasant,
it didn\'t do anything for me, just found it ugly...
Bad picture, bad sound, bad acting, simply unpleasant. I wondered why would someone make such a movie... Gore on it\'s own is as inspiring as a butcher shop, to make a good horror movie you need to play with psychology.
House of 1000 corpses and Devil\'s Reject we\'re good movies, I enjoyed watching them, even tough I usually dislike gore and horror.

I personally liked the lady in the water, but it might have been deceiving for people who were expecting something scary. The contrast between the ordinary and the fantastic was interesting
