Man, I left a glass of coke in my bedroom at the weekend, and when I came back to it there was something floating in it. It was the most enormous wasp I have ever seen!! It MUST have been at least an inch long, and as scary as hell. But it was drowning in coke, and I didnt have the heart to leave it to die so I fished it out with a bit of plastic.

I then watched it clean itself for about 10 minutes... fascinating mouth-parts, and believe it or not, they clean themselves like cats do!! was really weird to see!

Doesnt mean I like them though, just that I couldnt let it just die

What is it with wasps and coke?

I can remember fishing on the bank of a lake on a warm summers day. I opened a can of coke and took a swig.....ten minutes later I took another swig and ended up with a mouthful of wasps:wow:

Luckily, they were all too busy thinking wtf! to sting me and got spat out very quickly....

Could have been pretty disastrous though, as I am allergic to wasp stings and was miles away from anywhere....

They don\'t seem so attracted to lager which is, of course, why I made the swap

Awww, I saw your picture and I thought you were fairly attractive, and I don\'t consider myself to be an idiot, well, maybe.
But I did turn down your offer with the mallet so I must not be too stupid. lollol
