Star Wars minis?

Runequest was the bomb

Most of the other fantasy worlds at that time just seemed to be MiddleEarth rip-offs, but RQ had a flavor all its own. I still cherish my copy of Griffon Mountain.

@MarkusTay -- Slow boat to Denmark. Heavy stuff that\'s not vitally importatn I always have shipped surface mail. Takes about six weeks, but the price is way down in comparison to airmail. Let me know if it can work out.

Fed-Ex and UPS are pretty expensive, even USPS Airmail is expensive for packages. My mom sometimes sends holidays CARE packages with candy for the kids and beef jerky, last package she paind 56 USD to send about five pounds of shite!

The kids loved the candy, though.

Don\'t forget the old solid metal minis that came with vintage Star Wars Micro sets. I repainted an old ObiWan and it is in my Electric Ocean folder here
Let me know what you think.
Also let me know if I am still too stupid to work a hyperlink that says here:)

I used to have one of the hoth storm troopers I picked up somewhere. Man I wish I\'d never lost that. It was cool.

I assume that\'s a \"after\"/\"before\" shot.
Nice job on his robes. Might consider removing the light saber or at least filing down the grip.

It\'s a nice mini, but I don\'t recall obi-wan fighting 1-handed.

Possible explanations...

1. He fought one handed in the cutscene parts.

2. He\'s had fights that took place outside the realm of the movies.

3. He touched the light part of the light sabre...ohhh thats HOT!!

4. Didn\'t he cut off that guys arm (star wars: a new hope) in the cantina, one handed??

Well he\'d have to by definition wouldn\'t he? I mean losing an arm leaves you one-handed.
Oh, you mean obi-wan used one hand, not the....
Right. Nevermind.

Damn, been REAL busy last two days...

I haven\'t forgotten about you Vince, gonna try to have those pics up by Tomorrow (Thurs).

@Marineboy - haven\'t forgotten about you either. I went back to the store and checked out the box a second time. NO WHERE does it say the figures are metal. It simply says \'8 collectible playing pieces. The pic on the box makes them look metal, but so do the chess pieces and I KNOW they\'re plastic. They look like they might be about the same size as the chess pieces too. It\'s also back up to the original price and now it doesn\'t seem like as good a deal. I\'ll do a little research and find out if they are metal.

Has anyone seen the figure-based Star Wars game from Hasbro? Not the WotC one, this one has more of a Whizkids feel, with big bases that dial the stats. It\'s like StarWars Clix, done by Hasbro, using the WotC sculpts. Same crummy plastic minis, but now you get four of \'em for $20. Boy, that Hasbro sure knows how to milk the cow...
