Star Wars minis?

the question is in the title: does any kind of star wars minis exist?
if so please tell me about that...

YES!!

There are some old metal jobbies from the nineties that were created for the roleplaying game.

Hasbro have released a \'collectable\' mini-battle game, but the figs are plastic and pre-painted, so beware the bent lightsaber.

New Wizards stuff!!!!

I\'ll take a squiz for the older stuff...

I have a bag of old Star Wars minis that I think were released around the same time as the WotC rpg. Not sure who made them. Do you want them?

Yeah, can\'t recall but there was a ton produced until about 2 years ago. The company I think went bust so they were flying out at 30% discounts. Ebay is the best source for them.

There have been several releases of Star Wars minis.

West End Games had a HUGE line about 8-12 years ago, unfortunatly they are out of print. You can still find them on ebay though.

Wizards of the Coast hold the current liscence to the mini\'s, they put out a limited run (5-10 minis) around 2000, but they were not any good, IMHO. WOTC also puts out the Miniature\'s Game. They are pre-painted and plastic.

I do not belive that Grenadier released any Star Wars Mini\'s, and I am certain that Wizkids did not as well.

edit - This is the only set I have, I unfortunately didn\'t buy the \"heroes of the rebellion\" boxed set, or any of the individual minis.

alternatively...

Rawcliffe Pewter makes some \'higher end\' pewter figures. I cannot see why they wouldn\'t be completely paintable...

For instance Yoda was selling for 11.25, slightly cheaper than a GW character mini. Plus, these are very well sculpted.
