Thanks guys, really nice to hear. Milkflavour, if you want to try for those mixed colors I’d say try to think of the model as a whole, not a collection of discrete elements. GingerBat, I’m glad you’re inspired. I certainly found a lot of inspiration on this forum when I first started painting, and it’s an honor to be told I have inspired you.

Bravo SaintToad, this is a fantastic piece of work! I love the contrast you have gong here, it quite literally goes from black all the way to white, with your signature textures, skin and eyes, just mindblowing. Awesome!

What, it has been a week since your last painted project post. I figured you would have about 4 or 5 new bust completely painted to show by now

Thanks pal. This one was a please to paint. Well, at first it was pretty tedious, but then it was a lot of fun to start seeing him emerging from the shadowy depths of the forest.
I’m planning to challenge myself on the next one. Can’t stop won’t stop!

The bright glints of light on the leaves, the way you focused on his face, those eyes... Man you are doing some amazing work here. So excited to see what you come up with next!

It has been a joy reading through the past nine months of updates. Such improvement. Your busts are amazing and even though I haven’t been on the forums much, getting a ToadChapel update in my email is always a treat. Your bust are simply a smorgasbord for the eyes and soul.

(but I do miss your terrain work :curl-lip:)

the 3 busts look pretty good. for some reason I like the 3rd the most (probably because of the vivid osl)
