Coolpix seems to be the box of choice around here. (But for that price I got a discontinued CP 5000 - 5 megapixels and more options than even I can fathom.) The 3 MP is fine for posting here, but up your card to at least a half gig.

Ooops, got all excited bout the camera.

The dragon looks much better. needs a bit more light right now (could be the camera) to bring up the horns & claws. I like the yellow highlights.

Nikon seem to be inherently reliable....

I think they all have macro function, but check! Also shop around, the price variation is enormous...

Yes after airhead mentioned the 5000 I went on ebay and noted the big spread. I also went to the nikon site but do not find stellar deals there. still hunting for a good deal.

There are some good deals to be had from the Far East...

I was a bit dubious at first but a few of the dealers have like 2000 feedback with 99% positive comments. I can get a Nikon D2H for half the cost of the cheapest UK source. Definitely worth a gamble.

I bought an IWATA airbrush this way and I was wowed by the service and speed of delivery....I wouldn\'t do it from an anonymous source, but I think eBay feedback is always a good measure of a dealer\'s reliability.

I\'d love to see an electronic display outside all business premises which showed this information

Be very careful with CHEAP camera deals on ebay. Some of them have very fine print that they are NOT selling a camera, just a location where you can buy one. ???
