Ok, so here is the final sculpt on the head, i ended up going for a combination of the Zeus and the Moneypenny, but with a twist! Pretty happy with the result!

Today i started the scarier parts of this build, the right arm aws cut at the elbow and pinned in a new position to have it hold the bolter vertcally, i tenn filled smd rebuilt half the elbow pad, still some finishing off to do and clean up work!

Some more progress, almost finished resulpting the right arm, just a few snagging bits to do, the left arm has been cut and reposed, the ribbed section has been redone, need to finish reconstructing the elbow pad, now thats done i did a mock up of the upper torso to check the pose, hit a problem as the back of the bolter fouled on the bottom of the shoulder pad, solution was to trim off the bottom of the shoulder pad an re sculpt the lip on the bottom. Happy accident as i prefer the shorter pad and the stock ones now seem far too big!

Nice job on the hair, I definitely approve of your final choice. Saw the mock-up over on Cassar's thread, looks like you're making good progress.

I like it :) the weapon in the air actually makes sense of the head position (which I could never understand why they would make it like that), now it looks right. I'm intrigued by what you intend for the left arm....sword, power fist/claws maybe, I look forwards to seeing this develop.

Its been a busy few days, and at time frustrating. Having spent ages procrastinating over what to do with the left hand, i tried sculpting a hand around the hilt of the combat knife, however this looked awful (brain was writing cheques my skill couldn't cash!) i settled on the Powerfist for the left arm, i then discovered 5 ways not to make a power fist! Some pictures of the attempts are included for your levity! Finally settled on sculpting the fist out of three solid blocks of milliput, and a result i am m

Spot on, the arm possition is now all wrong, The mock up possition is still a work in progress, as the powerfist was an afterthought, i will need to re cut the elbow and add more of a bend, am also planning on adjusting the shoulder to move the arm up and away from the body! I need to go get a dremel tho as this will make it far easier! Love the lightning claw you sculpted, but this is still way beyond my skills!

just a thought, why do you not just heat the stock left hand and use it to grip the knife???? I had to alter the grip of that particular hand to accommodate the heavy bolter. Hot water, bend the fingers around say a brush handle then dunk into cold and bingo! grip the knife.
