Thats brilliant. Thanks again and I am sure I will be bugging you some more with any other questions I may have once I get going on the project.

No worries about thread jacking. :)

I have considered the Front Rank miniatures. I hear that their quality is a lot more consistent than Foundry. I have come across mold and flash on Foundry figures that if removed mutilate the miniature or even miscast figures. Not to mention at about $8 USD per figure they can be quite pricey compared to about $3 USD for FR. Unfortunately for my current Napoleonic project they don't make Prussians but I may pick up some Poles to supplement my growing Duchy of Warsaw force.

Small update this week. I haven't been slacking but doing a little of everything at once so not much done.

First off is the second Blood Bowl team from the Blood Bowl commission. This time around Chaos Dwarfs.

P1010809.jpg

The red came out a bit more dull in the photos than in reality for some reason, and as hard as I try I can't get it to show better. However, they were a blast to paint, I really enjoy painting the classic GW models.

Also a small update on the Praetorian force. This is the main army commander. I decided to use NMM to make him stand out a bit from the other commanders.

Last but not least, a glimpse of what awaits me with my Seven Years War Prussian project.
P1010810.jpg

The army consists of a mix of Essex and Old Glory miniatures:
~200 Musketeers (with multiple command units)
~100 Grenadiers (with multiple command units and a few pioneers)
~30 Hussars (Look like Leib Hussars by the head dress but I may be wrong)
6 artillery pieces w/crew (4 are labeled as 3 pounders but the models can pass for 6 pounders as well, another is a 6 pounder and the last is a 3 pound howitzer.)
Also 2 packs of Essex mounted generals.

These will all more than likely end up for sale once finished as I really don't see myself having the time to game and rather not have them sit around and collect dust. I am contemplating splitting this force up into two armies. One, a small DBA/AA based army and the rest built around whatever the most popular set of SYW rules is.

Thanks for looking everyone.

Nice job on the blood bowl team. I've got one of those sitting around but have barely messed with it. I like the colors you chose too.

I love the IG. I'm a Mordian guy myself.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Really seems like I haven't been making as much progress lately as I would like to, but I'm getting there. Next few days will be awfully busy with two deadlines fast approaching so I will be say good bye to sleep for a bit. :)

Anyways, here's a small update:

First up some Infinity Ariadna Highlanders
P1010868.jpg

P1010869.jpg

Followed by some Ariadna Volunteers
P1010876.jpg

P1010878.jpg

I have a few more of these to do (mainly commanders and characters). They were fairly fun to paint. A little too busy for me with the various armor panels, layers of cloth, pouches, grenades, etc, but all in all good quality sculpts and casts.

Next up some more IG Praetorians, this time around some Storm Troopers
P1010819.jpg

P1010820.jpg

P1010822.jpg

And another Commissar
P1010863.jpg

P1010865.jpg

The Storm Troopers, oh boy those Storm Troopers. Soooooo many armor panels sticking out of soooo many places. I think I had to go back at least twice to each mini to paint armor panels I had missed originally. And no, those British Flags are not decals. I have another squad of these to do but not for another few weeks. These were all the client needed for an upcoming tournament.

I think that about does it. What's up next? Wish I knew. So much stuff to paint, I am not sure what I will get to next. Definitely some more Praetorians, Infinity, Pulp, Orcs, Goblins, as well as an incoming Demon Army commission.

Thanks for taking the time to read through my rambling everyone!

I like the Orc and the stormtrooper are nice (helmets look a little odd), but the highlanders look a little rough are the just a TT commision?.
Have you started your 15mm SYW? I have two Prussian Cav units to paint have been putting them off but dug them out last night Ill do mine if you do yours :brushwave:

Yup, all this stuff is TT. :)

I have not started the Prussians yet but have been itching to. I also have a load of Austrians on the way (15mm SYW) so that will be another project hehe.

I wouldn't mind getting a unit of Hussars going along side yours, we can do a combined WIP to irk each other on. Only issue I am having is what size/type bases to put the Prussians on. Any recommendations?

I will ask my old man what size bases he uses on the SYW will get back to you. I think the cav are on 30mm frontages hussars would he 2 figs heavy cav 3 figs.

I have not been slacking, just trying to get one big chunk of army out of the way. More Praetorians.

First up some Heavy Weapons teams:
P1010925.jpg

P1010937.jpg

P1010930.jpg

The bases are from Secret Weapon Miniatures. I figured I'd do a bit of plugging for them as I was really happy with the quality and service. I needed these almost immediately after ordered to finish the commission on time. Justin at Secret Weapon was nice enough to expedite the order and get them to me with plenty of time.

Next up a bunch of plug-ins for the army so that the client could use them in an upcoming tournament.

That about does it this time around. Thanks for looking everyone!

Woah it's been awhile since I updated this thread. Although I haven't been slacking, it sure feels like it with the small amount of minis that are getting painted.

I have mainly been working on finishing up the Savage Orc army. To be honest I never realized how detailed orcs were! Taking me much longer to get them done than I had originally planned. Anyhow, enough blabber, here are some pics.

First up some regular orc archers:
P1010990.jpg

P1010993.jpg

I think there is something like 38 or 39 of these guys.

Next are two regiments of 16 Savage Orcs each and a Shaman:

Other than that, here is a small preview of a Khornate Demon army commission that will be getting finished within then ext few days. I have 40 of these Blood Letters in total.
P1010969.jpg

That about does it for the update.

I have another 40 Orc Boyz left for that Orc army and that will be done, so hoping to have those done by the end of the weekend. Also have some Malifaux (sp?) and Pulp minis on the way.

I am pretty excited about an upcoming Chaos Space Marine and Blood Angels commission. Will be doing that to a display level so definitely a great break from all this TT level stuff.

Thanks for looking everyone!
