Pre-Heresy Abaddon

I put this guy together yesterday I think it may be my best conversion yet.I still have to add the shoulderpads,what else if any am I forgeting.

That looks pretty good. Hopefully the fist is relatively smooth despite the paint already on there. Are you gonna do the little leather straps hanging off the shoulders as well? That\'s definitely a good pre-heresy detal to incorporate.

I got to scrape some of that paint off I was on a roll yesterday and could\'nt wait to strip the paint.

Looking good. The top seal on his midriff could use tidying up, the pit is a little off center. Did you use guitar wire for the tubing? Looks cool!

Also, I\'d lose the topknot, i just abhor it! Personal taste, plus it looks a little chaotic for a pre-Heresey Abaddon

In the books he has the topknot from the start actually. So it\'s more authentic, and a ton easier to recognize him as well.

I was just looking for a reason, any reason, to justify removing it. God I really dislike it! But i bow down to superior fluff knowledge lol

I suggest a larger fist.

Looking through your provided links of Abaddon, in the 2nd link, you can clearly see he has a HUGE powerfist.

Maybe switch the Power armour powerfist for a terminator one? (Use the terminator one but remove details as you like?)

Just a suggestion, but none the less looking ace man.

All the Terminator fists are for the other hand though... a finger transplant can be done (Spikyjames on Warseer did some opposite-armed Terminators for his Mentor Legion I think) but it\'s a helluva lot of work.

maybe if you wanted to spend alotta of dinero
you could get \"the talon of horus\" for like 4 bucks. then just cut it down to \"the talon\" (sans guns) and viola you have one hella big fist.

One bit of fluff I do know is that the talon was ripped off Horus at the end of the Heresy (hence the Talon of Horus) and therefore a pre-Heresy Abaddon would be sans-Talon.

That said, a meatier fist wouldnt be a bad thing... lol

The right hand powerfist was indeed a problem.
I tried using a right handed lighting claw for termies with claw cut off but it looked like crap.
I might bulk it out a little bit with some g/s.
And I dont think I could give a fingerswap justice:drunk:

hate to see him a tux those always have the built shoulder pads. he would look horible lol
needs leather fringies things off the shoulder pads IMO
oh and needs a suitable base too

I know EC were the only marines to WEAR the aquilla.It said nothing about swords and such so I\'m taking some artistic freedom

There were no aquila pendants or jewlery, as the Emperor shunned religion, they were never included in the space marines gear. Simple really.

What colour are you going to paint him in?

The main base of the armour.

But the emperors children were the only ones who displayed the aquila on them, as it was the emperors personal heraldry,and only became used by other legions/chapters after the legions were broken up into the chapters.
