Two of my coworkers and I played our first games of Warmachine yesterday, and I was amazed at what a fast paced and dynamic game it is. We played a sample combat (just some close combat) on Thursday, and Friday we were playing full games. There were very few rules questions other than terminology.
Khador ended up winning both starter battles against my Menoth and the other fellow\'s Cryx, mostly due to Sorscha bringing the whoop.
In my one game, I smashed my heavy \'jack into one of his heavy \'jacks, sending it backwards into Sorscha, damaging both of them and knocking them down. Then (that same turn) I advanced my \'jack with the flamethrower and flamed them both on the ground. Huge fun!
The turn before that, his \'jack with the ice axe dealt a vicious, boosted hit that completely severed the shield arm from one of my light \'jacks.
The game ended when Sorscha used a cost 4 spell (that\'s a lot, for the non-Warmachine players) to immobilize my warcaster, Kreoss, and then step forward a plug him with her handgun, finishing off his last few health points. Execution style.
Big, big fun.
