So got a game in last night! First one for a while, got to try out the greathorn and catch up with my mate Dave.
Also tried Arkham thresh for the first time
)
Nice pick of Daves sverdians
he had a sweet list which could get moving with only four activations.. Kept the pressure on me ><
Lines about to meet, you can see pretty much what was fielded here. Had a bit of a bottleneck with the terrain that was fun to deal with. Both our motivations were on my leaders.. If I killed infantry and he failed a will check I got two moral., and if he killed mine he got the tokens on them in moral in addition to them being leaders. I don't think I picked a great one for facing hadross.
Our friend watching pointed out that the sharkmen unit looked like they where deployed in the shape of a sharks mouth
Few highlights. I tried to sprint the pelegarth to jam up daves turn. He used gelatinous shift to create a space for his giant tentacle beast.. I didnt see that coming and he was able to drag out my pelegarth howl getting around her defensive shtick.
She luckily lived, I managed to get the initiative and arkham and the felhammers took out the tentacle beasty.
The sverdians then tried to gelatinous shift arkham which would have been a huge tactical advantage (his soi would have been too far from his unit) but I think they failed a will check. They did shift the greathorn (hillarious to visualise)
I went aggressively for the sharkmen to try and achieve my motivation and remove models. And Dave was able to come back and take out arkham (after a bit of work
to get the win
