Thank's for the tip on the glue i'll have to looking add that to glue collection. Gorilla glue has worked in the pass, for what I needed, But it never hurts to add something else to toolbox. I have been trying to tease out hot glue from a gun to get super fine strains for drool and what not, so far not any luck.

Looks like you got effective paint by number set up for zombies. I was thinking of doing a similar system diving them in groups of basic zombies, and picking a pallet and going from there. As for NPC those I have planed on spending more time and hitting the details on. I had planed on use 3 different tones for the base-coat and than working the flesh up, this way the skin varies from model to model.

I normally don't use any gloss varnish as I normally use scale colors and super matted look. So when it comes to these I know the kid going to be playing a lot so there going to need something to protect them. Still not 100% on what to coat them with when I done.

As I never played the game before I painting the bases a different isn't something I though about, I guess once I get the rule book and understand the different between them I can make the bases stand out so when playing the game people know what's what.

Yeah for the bases just going to use to mud mixture from secret weapon mixtures line up add some flock and rocks, trying to recreate medieval town road, as for wolves forest flock and mud to make it looks like there coming in from the hills. As for the bosses I guess each one would have theme to it got to see them in person to figure it out.

It may not be entirely accurate, but hit your local coffee house and grab a handful of stir sticks. Broken up, they make great wooden pathways. As for varnish, go with Testors Dullcote. It's a bit pricey, but it kills shine amazingly: before scale75 and similar ultra-matte paints, I'd never seen anything as matte as a dullcote'd surface.
Also, dirt + white glue is a good way to add texture to a base on the cheap. Soil is fine enough that it scales down to the miniature size very well, and if you add pigment powders to make it look dusty, it really sells the appearance of built-up dust and dirt.
