There\'s a good chance that without CMON to spur me on, I\'d have given up painting altogether. I\'m not sure I\'d have had the will to keep it up if I was still practicing my craft in creative isolation.

Even if I was painting, I\'d probably still be drybrushing everything, and exclusively using metallics to depict metal surfaces. I would not have tried a greyscale paint job, or ever painted a mini of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (thanks CMON Shop!).

And I would probably spend much more time on Fark.com

I wouldn\'t be painting at all if it weren\'t for CMON.

I\'d picked up a couple minis, just to see if I wanted to get back into the hobby, and wasn\'t thrilled with it, at first.

Then I found, by accident, vikinglodge\'s website (I was looking up vikings because of a White Wolf Dark Ages game), which had a link to here.

After looking at random pictures for about 2 hours (and as fate/luck would have it, never finding more than 2 or 3 9+\'s), decided that I could do better.

Of course, we all now know that that isn\'t true, but I\'ve learned a lot, made some good friends, had a few laughs, and I\'m still better than about 1200 of you!

I\'d be spending more time on armourarchive.org and consequently feeling even guiltier for not yet having finished my armour. I also wouldn\'t feel responsible for having ruined someone\'s signature, either.
