It\'s more of a challenge because of the size. Mistakes are less forgiving. Cutting parts can be more difficult and more dangerous because the blades are so close to your fingers.

Well, I think this guy is about done.

If anyone can think of something in particular they would like to see explained in an article, please let me know. I tend to breeze by stuff.

The warriors of cathay will not be amused about that :D
\'Cause they are the only samurai in this old world...

Very good work - you should do a real samurai army :)

One of the very best WIPs I\'ve read. Been following it closely. My one question is how you did the GS on the sword hilt? Lay it out and sculpt flat? Gunk GS onto the hilt and work it there? Something I\'m missing?

Thanks for the compliment.

I mixed some gs, let it sit for 30 minutes and then cut 4 pieces like this. Then I sculped the folds into the wrap.

I will back track and try to lay this article out as well as I can. I should be able to get it posted mid week.

I put everything on the first post and will try to get it in the article section asap.

If anyone has any questions, I\'ll try my best to answer.

INCREDIBLE WIP--this is the most detailed one I have seen. The copperwork has been especially interesting to follow. Thank you so much!
