I used GF9 \"Grey Stuff\" that I believe it\'s the same as procreate.
I\'m not really sure what you mean by scales... it\'s the texture or just the \"opened\" armor? if it\'s the latter what I did is to do a layer of armor cut it with a hobby knife and then lift it with edge of the knife and after that I try to give some shape to it.
I do plan to paint it in the future... I have some sculpting projects to do first.
