You don't even have to join the group. Go to the main Facebook page, click like and set the notifications to all posts and get notified instantly when they post something. :)

Nope. I tried to join and I think I got rejected because I now get a "The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page."

Lovely.

As I feared, no new info has killed the game off at my LGS. CMON only has there self to blame. I know I won't support anymore of their games.

Sorry but that's simply not true. There has been loads of info on new stuff. From pre-orders on merchant websites, to previewed art, mini's, and cards CMON has given plenty of new things for WoK players to drool over. It's on the Facebook group which is public and easy to join. If your LGS is too lazy or unwilling to participate in that fashion, then that's not CMON's fault.

Completely false. You can't swing a stick on the internet without seeing something about the game.

See here is the problem. There have been three weeks of release teasers the past 4 months. That is official info not pre-order info, and not all retailers got the pre-order info.

Google wrath of kings. For me I get the following in order; the website that has sparse information on the game, the kickstarter page that for obvious reasons has not been updated since July, the cool mini store page, and then the facebook page.

Now, I should not have to dig to find information about a game. That is BS. There should be a unified posting of information on the web. It is not that hard to do. There are options out there to write once post anywhere so all their sites are pushing the info out to the players.

If someone comes here and says their local community is dying because of lack of information, I should not have to look at the 4th google search to find it. Heck, this forum is not even on the first page if you don't look specifically for a forum.

They have a wrath of kings site and any information anywhere should be there. If they like facebook then that should be their place for WoK information, not a week of WoK info followed by 3-5 weeks of adds for there other kickstarters.

All in all they really do a poor job of getting their game into peoples faces, and people are hesitant to get into a game that looks like it has no players(to many, internet exposure equals players playing.)

So, is there information out there, yes. Is it readily available for casual players who just won't spend a lot of time looking for it. No. Discounting the concerns of those who come here come here about the lack of information is really counter productive.

So where is this information? I check their mane page, follow the Facebook group and occasionally Google for other stuff... but there isn't much. I'm curious to hear about the rumored narrative developments from some tournaments / events, but I find nothing but a few pre-release pictures of upcoing miniatures...

Certainly nothing to fire the imagination and get motivated to play.

Your searchfu is weak, there was a post yesterday about the two player starter box. I am sure your entitled to more information but you are going to have to wait till march like everyone else.

Granted, I could specify that I had in fact seen the announcement of the new 2-player starter pack; but that doesn't exactly reveal much regarding "rumored narrative developments from some tournaments / events". :)

CMON does a REALLY poor job of follow up on their games. They're more of a one and done company, especially with board games. Fire and forget. Wrath and Dark Age are different, they demand follow up and follow through and I think CMON is still trying to find themselves. I hope they figure out a workflow in 2016 because the game is incredible, simply incredible, and it deserves to be played by the masses.
